Won’t Heal

Your legs are broken,

Were they not I’d ask you where you stand.

It’s complicated.

You’re comprising all your oxygen.

Time to focus.

You lost the way and burned the map.

You dig it deeper,

To make believe that there was never a gap.

Somebody, somebody

Hear me

When I say, When I say

This wound

Wont heal

On its own

You’ll see.

I see the blood loss,

That’s made you cutthroat.

There is no question,

Of whether now you’ll sink or float.

Unforgiving,

You can’t make sense of where you are.

Somebody, somebody

Hear me

When I say, When I say

This wound

Wont heal

On its own

You’ll see.

Oh it was suicide.

Somebody, somebody

Hear me

When I say, When I say

This wound

Wont heal

On its own

You’ll see.

Within A Whisper

Why do you keep me here?

Locked in your honesty.

It has no air holes, howmi sposed to breathe?

Take back your hints that I am

Simple tragedy.

This can’t go on cause

You treat me like a charity.

Woahohwhoaoohahoh.

Is it far from fair

To say that we tried.

Those desperate ways.

To keep this love alive,

A lie.

Within a whisper of goodbye.

Light You On Fire

Cut by a knife you’re like glass.

Were you always this easy to see through?

Insensitive like glass.

And you’re so quick to shatter…

Can I light you on fire?

Can I wish you away?

Don’t stand too close,

My heart might stop beating.

Can I light you on fire?

Can I wish you away?

Can I light you

Light you

On fire.

Built like a wall,

I’m trapped between,

Something that’s real,

And something unseen.

They say when one door closes,

Another one opens,

But you won’t open to me.

Can I light you on fire?

Can I wish you away?

Don’t stand too close,

My heart might stop beating.

Can I light you on fire?

Can I wish you away?

Can I light you

Light you

On fire.

Secrets

Please don’t

Ask

What I

Want

For you,

I make my own decisions

I’m lucky I can make any at all.

Please don’t

Take

Words from my lips,

You’re a hypocrite,

But you’re the best I can do.

Woah.

Secrets in your pockets,

Secrets in your eyes,

Secrets in the sounds you make,

Before we watch the sunrise.

Secrets in the distance,

Secrets on the rise,

Secrets sent straight to your house,

Like a mail order bride.

Please don’t

Leave.

This heart on

My sleeve,

It’d be safer in between your sheets.

Just keep,

My promises,

For me,

Cause I know you don’t break them.

Even though,

I know,

You’ve got….

Secrets in your pockets,

Secrets in your eyes,

Secrets in the sounds you make,

Before we watch the sunrise.

Secrets in the distance,

Secrets on the rise,

Secrets sent straight to your house,

Like a mail order bride.

The breath,

The breath,

The breath on my neck,

It takes,

It takes,

It takes,

My breath from my chest,

And oh…

Woahhh.

I know.

Secrets in your pockets,

Secrets in your eyes,

Secrets in the sounds you make,

Before we watch the sunrise.

Secrets in the distance,

Secrets on the rise,

Secrets sent straight to your house,

Like a mail order bride.

At The Bottom

If I put you on my wings,

And showed you how to fly?

Would you hate me when we fell?

Cause you distracted me with your eyes.

If I lead you up a staircase,

Into the tiniest room you ever saw,

Would you wanna that be close to me?

Somehow I think you would.

And somehow I’m still at the bottom.

At the bottom of the list,

You’re at the bottom of a bottle.

Taking that final sip.

At the bottom of the night,

Headed right into the morning,

At the bottom of the darkest hour

Before the dawn.

If I let, you forget,

Would I ever let myself get sleep?

I would miss my dreams of you, you know,

Even though your smiles always better in the day…light.

It’s all so simple.

If we shut our eyes,

Would we enjoy the free fall?

Cause somehow we get to the bottom.

At the bottom of the list,

You’re at the bottom of a bottle.

Taking that final sip.

At the bottom of the night,

Headed right into the morning,

At the bottom of the darkest hour

Before the dawn.

Before Tonight

You touched my hand, so tenderly.

You met my eyes and smiled at me.

Gently kissed me on my cracked lips.

Put your calloused upon my hips and said.

I wish I knew you before tonight.

I wish I knew your last name.

I know this is right, I know this is right,

I know I’m smiling and you’re to blame.

He traced her steps, so quietly.

He touched her cheek; silently.

Words aren’t needed with looks like that.

They knew that it was all they’d need and said.

I wish I knew you before tonight.

I wish I knew your last name.

I know this is right, I know this is right,

I know I’m smiling and you’re to blame.

This heart beats warm, even blood.

You taste like danger, but still so good.

I know it’s wrong, we know its wrong,

You know its wrong, but…

I wish I knew you before tonight.

I wish I knew your last name.

I know this is right, I know this is right,

I know I’m smiling and you’re to blame.

Ties

I’ve always been proud

Of my ability to walk away

Even where others might get too attached.

Even as

You take that from me,

I still don’t ever want to let you go.

You’re a vision.

My own personal devil.

Your light burns brighter than the sun.

Chain me, chain me down.

Tie me to the bed.

Show me that you’re heaven sent.

Chain me, chain me down.

It’s not all in my head.

Tell me you meant all you said.

Woah….. woah….

You’ve never been proud,

Of the way your smile just goes crooked,

And your teeth just won’t ever be so white.

Even as,

She gives that to you,

I hear you tell me that you’ll never let me go.

You’re a vision.

My own personal devil.

Your light burns brighter than the sun.

Chain me, chain me down.

Tie me to the bed.

Show me that you’re heaven sent.

Chain me, chain me down.

It’s not all in my head.

Tell me you meant all you said.

Woah….. woah….

You’re a vision.

My own personal crucifix.

Your light burns brighter than the sun.

Chain me, chain me down.

Free me from his kiss of death.

Show me that you’re heaven sent.

Chain me, chain me down.

It’s not all in my head.

Tell me you meant all you said.

Woah….. woah….

Good Enough

I won’t shudder at your touch no more

I promise.

I won’t hate the way I look at you

When I really wanna cry.

Because we both know why

I can’t look you in the eye

Even though you try,

I can’t deny…

There is nothing you can say that will make me good enough.

Don’t look at me that way they know I’m not good enough.

I’m standing in the middle of wanting what’s best for you,

And wanting you.

Too bad they don’t seem to meet ever in the middle of my head.

Because we both know why

I can’t look you in the eye

Even though you try,

I can’t deny…

There is nothing you can say that will make me good enough.

Don’t look at me that way they know I’m not good enough.

Monster

There’s an element of surprise

There’s an element of fear

The look in your eyes

Tells me that I should not be here,

And my hands are on your shoulders,

You’re holding on my waist,

No one knows what’s behind that door

But it’s a question we can’t shake.

You’re fighting a monster who’s as blind as you are,

With it’s angry fists and lashing tongue,

The blows are hard, and fast, and long,

And there is no escape for you, my darling.

Do I breathe too heavy?

Do I stand too close for you?

Now we’re in the middle of the nightmare,

And it’s far too late to ever turn away.

And it’s trying hard to break our will,

But our faith is our face,

There’s still half way to survive,

But there is much more we can take.

We’re fighting a monster who’s as blind as we are,

With it’s angry fists and lashing tongue,

The blows are hard, and fast, and long,

And there is no easy escape for us, my darling.

It’s such a fatal flaw to be human,

Our ideas don’t spread.

If this was up to me I’d say,

Let’s get ourselves a box,

And listen to our heart’s beat till we’re dead.

Oh, c’mon.

We’re fighting a monster who’s as blind as you are,

With it’s angry fists and lashing tongue,

The blows are hard, and fast, and long,

And there is no easy escape, my darling.

Bottle (verses)

All i have left to drink,

Is this bottle anger,

Left in here are feelings,

Like I’m never quite enough.

This kind of lie,

Can’t be forgotten like

Your blood just can’t be spilled.

Over my hands. can we start again?

All I have left to breathe,

Are these fumes of a fire,

Left here in the feelings,

Like I’m never gonna be enough,

This kind of life,

Can’t be foreshadowed,

Like a spider web yet to be spun,

In your head, can we start again?

All I have left to be,

Is this shadow of danger,

Left in here as the makings,

Of a tiger left in its cage,

But you got lonely,

Like you tend to,

When I’m nowhere to be found,

In my head, we can’t start again.

All I have left to leave,

Is this shell of a monster,

Lay here in the makings,

Of a habit you’ve yet to make,

And soon you’ll beat me,

Like you want to,

Don’t strand me on an island,

Of my own. We can’t start again.

Breaking Habits.

We sat on a bench in the park,

You asked me why i had up a guard.

It wasn’t that i didnt trust you,

It wasn’t that i was still afraid.

It was more an act out of habit,

You took my hand and told me to be brave.

You Are All

I know it sounds so cliche,

But i think about you everyday.

And now I’m down to the final stretch,

Trying to keep myself not such a mess.

To figure out how we got here,

And write you letters to tell you dear,

How lonesome it is when you’re far away,

I need you, I need you, I need you.

How quiet my night are all alone.

I need you, I need you, I miss you.

You are all I desire.

A good night’s sleep is hard to find

When you’re always on my mind.

You keep in touch but its the same,

how do i know you won’t forget my face?

My fingers are aching to touch you, oh.

They write you letters to let you know,

How lonesome it is when you’re far away,

I need you, I need you, I need you.

How quiet my night are all alone.

I need you, I need you, I miss you.

You are all I desire.

You are all I desire.
