Surprise

Cause look at the stars fade above us,

Can you count them fast enough?

Look at the stars fade above us,

Can you count them fast enough

Before they fall

When your eyes close

Do you remember who I am?

Do you remember who you are?

When you talk

Does your tongue surprise you

With the things you hear it say?

Your backbone, so tied up

So knotted, so, so not enough

Disappear

So I wait for the break of day

When the sun gets in my cracks

And I can see what I am meant to be

And everything I lack.

And I wait for the evening

Just to see you crawl to me and smile

You know what I need

And you know what I like

And you know where I am

When I disappear into the palm of your hands

Cause I don’t like here

Well-Rounded Citizen

Don’t you recognize the flag they made you,

Stained red and white, so black and blue.

We won the shadow war, with walls they can’t break through.

Of ignorance and selfishness, made you deaf, dumb, and mute.

My corners are too sharp

You’ll never round me out,

And I’m the model citizen,

Only when I shut my mouth.

I raise fingers and not fists

But if you wanna fight

I’ll round out my v for peace

Show you why you’ll know my name,

Woah.

I can only gag with your hand down my throat

Grabbing all my cynic’s words so you can tie them up close

Trade them for the pesticides you spray on the ones you hate the most

The ones like me who make statues like you become nothing but political ghosts.

Do you make up for your truth in your headlines?

When will they notice we’ve heard it one thousand times.

Cause the pleasure they seek from your sugar coated slime,

Is the same that they get from the pills that help them sleep at night.

My corners are too sharp

You’ll never round me out,

And I’m the model citizen,

Only when I shut my mouth.

I raise fingers and not fists

But if you wanna fight

I’ll round out my v for peace

Show you why you’ll know my name,

Woah.

Does he want my tongue?

He doesn’t wanna know where I come from.

Do he want my smile?

You can’t tax it from me, not that easy.

Does he want my trust?

How much is he is willing to pay, I keep it at a high cost.

My corners are too sharp

You’ll never round me out,

And I’m the model citizen,

Only when I shut my mouth.

I raise fingers and not fists

But if you wanna fight

I’ll round out my v for peace

Show you why you’ll know my name,

Woah.

Fine

Once again you were waiting on the second chance,

Get the rebound and bring it back to me, slow

So what’s it like to watch me walk away?

What’s like to watch me go?

You say you’re sorry, even in your sleep

How’s it feel when I’m not listening?

There’s no show without a crowd

How’s it feel to let me you?

You can’t make it work,

You’ve been saying that

Over and over and over

Goodbye, goodbye,

You’ll say you’ll miss me

And I believe you but

I can’t wait til the day when I feel fine,

Goodbye,

Cause I know without you it’s possible

To be alright.

Once again you let the world slip by you

Fix it with a smile and a false word or two

So what’s it like to me watch me walk away?

What’s it like to be the reason why?

You forget that I’ve heard everything

One fucking hundred times

I’m not as stupid as I seem to be

Oh, I promise I can say goodbye

Goodbye, goodbye,

You’ll say you’ll miss me

And I believe you but

I can’t wait til the day when I feel fine,

Goodbye,

Cause I know without you it’s possible

To be alright.

You’ve been saying that

Over and over and over

Goodbye, goodbye,

You’ll say you’ll miss me

And I believe you but

I can’t wait til the day when I feel fine,

Goodbye,

Cause I know without you it’s possible

To be alright.

Random Song Pieces

All the constant motion in my head

Makes me sometimes wish I’d wake up dead

Look at the stars fade above us

Can you count them fast enough?

Fast enough, to fall.

Look at the stars fade above us

Can you count them fast enough

Before they fall

When your eyes close

Do you remember who I am?

Do you remember who you are?

When you talk

Does your tongue surprise you

With the things you hear it say

Your backbone,

So tied up,

So knotted,

So not enough.

And I’m not sure where to count myself in,

Cause you already counted me out

But I’m still here,

Don’t talk about me like I’m not here,

I can hear you, my dear,

Watch your tongue.

And you watch your heart is breaking,

And the world keeps moving slower,

And there’s the time it’s taking,

To let your eyes just close.
