Mule

Everything’s a circle

And I’m so sick of spinning

You say life’s not a contest

But you keep screaming you’re winning

All I want is a little peace

And privacy, to boot

I don’t think that’s too much to ask

From an overbearing mule

How much of me do you really want to steal

To wear me down to the point where I’m not real

I can take what you give til I’m full of it

Til I’m sick of being here

How much of me hasta to be miserable

Before you disappear

Everything’s a battle

And I’m so sick of fighting

You say nothing’s important

But you’re screaming how you’re right and

All I want is a little peace

Some privacy, to boot

I don’t think that’s much to ask

From an overbearing mule

How much of me do you really want to steal

To wear me down to the point where I’m not real

I can take what you give til I’m full of it

Til I’m sick of being here

How much of me hasta to be miserable

Before you disappear

Your voice keeps grating on me

Your ideas the only ones allowed

How much am I to tolerate

Before I find myself subdued

How much of me do you really want to steal

To wear me down to the point where I’m not real

I can take what you give til I’m full of it

Til I’m sick of being here

How much of me hasta to be miserable

Before you disappear
