Bring Your Coat

Find yourself in my basement

Find yourself in my head, again

Lose yourself on the pavement

Spill and pour, til there’s nothing left

(Chorus=Riff)

Hang your coat in the staircase

Hang your head on my shoulder, baby

Bring your coat, just in case

It gets cold, I’m already sweating

(Chorus=Riff)

Hide your scars in your long sleeves

Hide your shame in your made up face

Come on and tell me your secrets

Who' I’ll tell, you don’t know their names

You Go Back

You still can’t dance, to that same old song

Are your fingers still there, from touching the same fire?

Don’t you get tired,

You go back to what’s hurt you, so many times

Before.

Learn from mistakes,

It will help you survive,

Take notes on the way,

Forget the names you will try.

Learn from mistakes,

It may help you survive,

Live in the moment, yeah,

But don’t forget,

Don’t forget, yesterday

You still can’t sing, that same old tune

Once bitten, clearly never shy

Don’t you, don’t you get tired?

You go back to what’s hurt you, so many times.

Learn from mistakes,

It will help you survive,

Take notes on the way,

Forget the names you will try.

Learn from mistakes,

It may help you survive,

Live in the moment, yeah,

But don’t forget,

Don’t forget, yesterday

Change the locks,

Change the locks,

Burn down the house

That tears you down.

Change the locks,

Do the wrong thing once,

And never again.

Learn from mistakes,

It will help you survive,

Take notes on the way,

Forget the names you will try.

Learn from mistakes,

It may help you survive,

Live in the moment, yeah,

But don’t forget,

Don’t forget, yesterday

Unkind

I once walked to the moon

For a man with three eyes

Who said, I looked good in all of them

But I couldn’t walk back,

You see, I was too tired,

But he didn’t wanna wait any longer.

Would you think me unkind,

If I didn’t shake your hand,

Didn’t try to understand, your childhood,

Would you think me unkind

If I tried to save your time

If you look you can see I’m no good

But I don’t wanna be unkind.

I once stayed up all night,

Trying to reason with the darkness,

Force somebody else to see the light.

But even I can’t cure the blind,

Forgive me if I sleep through this,

You’d think I’d learn my lesson by this time.

Would you think me unkind,

If I didn’t shake your hand,

Didn’t try to understand, your childhood,

Would you think me unkind

If I tried to save your time

If you look you can see I’m no good

But I don’t wanna be unkind.

I don’t wanna be

I don’t wanna be

I don’t wanna be

I don’t wanna be

Would you think me unkind,

If I didn’t shake your hand,

Didn’t try to understand, your childhood,

Would you think me unkind

If I tried to save your time

If you look you can see I’m no good

But I don’t wanna be unkind.

Needle

Don’t she want you?

Won’t you, will you, crawl towards the door

Get used to this, old place its

Cold on the floor

She’s got you twisting like a needle

In your brain,

You’d walk the Earth for her,

She’d take a plane.

She’s got you twisting like a needle,

In your brain,

You’d walk the Earth for her,

She won’t ask your name.

Don’t she want you?

Won’t you, will you, smell the breath she breathes

Toxic, an overload, you’re set for days, yeah

She’s got you twisting like a needle

In your brain,

You’d walk the Earth for her,

She’d take a plane.

She’s got you twisting like a needle,

In your brain,

You’d walk the Earth for her,

She won’t ask your name.

Craving just one more bite,

You need a hit, a look tonight.

Send vibes to a higher place,

That you’re desperate to touch her face.

Craving just more bite,

She won’t ask,

She won’t ask.

She’s got you twisting like a needle

In your brain,

You’d walk the Earth for her,

She’d take a plane.

She’s got you twisting like a needle,

In your brain,

You’d walk the Earth for her,

She won’t ask your name.

When You Say Love

The stuff that were made of

In the holes of our souls

Is betraying and breakable

Not under control

And your cheap alcohol

Only makes your dreams

Less predictable

When you say love

And I wonder if you’ll forget in the morning

When you say love

Are we characters in your head, a beautiful story

The moment you wake up you’ll find

When you say love, it’s a lie

We’re creatures of habit

Just chasing our demons

Until we collapse in eachother’s arms

Your pillows don’t comfort

So you go to the pills,

You run to the hills cause you’ll never find home

When you say love

And I wonder if you’ll forget in the morning

When you say love

Are we characters in your head, a beautiful story

The moment you wake up you’ll find

When you say love, it’s a lie

The stuff that were made of

In the holes of our souls

Is betraying and breakable

Not under control

And your cheap alcohol

Only makes your dreams

Less predictable

When you say love, it’s a lie

When you say love, it’s a lie

When you say love

And I know that it’s just another word you won’t remember you said

When you say love

I’ll never be the character you’ve pinned down in your head

I’m not gonna wait for you to wake up anymore

Cause I’m just not living this dream anymore

When you say love it’s a lie

When you say love, it’s a lie
