Before Tonight

You touched my hand, so tenderly.

You met my eyes and smiled at me.

Gently kissed me on my cracked lips.

Put your calloused upon my hips and said.

I wish I knew you before tonight.

I wish I knew your last name.

I know this is right, I know this is right,

I know I’m smiling and you’re to blame.

He traced her steps, so quietly.

He touched her cheek; silently.

Words aren’t needed with looks like that.

They knew that it was all they’d need and said.

I wish I knew you before tonight.

I wish I knew your last name.

I know this is right, I know this is right,

I know I’m smiling and you’re to blame.

This heart beats warm, even blood.

You taste like danger, but still so good.

I know it’s wrong, we know its wrong,

You know its wrong, but…

I wish I knew you before tonight.

I wish I knew your last name.

I know this is right, I know this is right,

I know I’m smiling and you’re to blame.
