Kaleidoscopes

This kaleidoscopes been putting you in bad light,

I must be looking through the wrong way,

These drinks are finally getting to my eyes,

Cause I swore I just saw, what I never wanted to see.

It must be me imagining things at midnight,

Cause I swore I saw you out there with somebody else,

It must be me seeing things in this light,

Cause I hope I didn’t see you, out there with somebody else.

The shadows on your face make it hard to mistake,

And I think about walking over.

The smile she’s faking says it’s more about the after party,

Less about making sure what you’re doing is worth this.

It must be imagining things at midnight,

Cause I swore I saw you out there, with somebody else,

It must be me seeing things in this light,

Cause I hope I didn’t see you, out there with somebody else.

I walk over shake your hand, like we’ve met for the first time,

Guess I wasn’t crazy, can you believe what you are seeing?

Hello, do you remember me? That’s all you’ve got left to do with me.

It wasn’t this kaleidoscope, you put yourself in a bad light.

It wasn’t this kaleidoscope, it wasn’t this kaleidoscope.
