What’s Left Of You

Someone taught me

In a dream

That our beliefs could not be wrong

But you’ve judged me on what I believe

So now I believe that I was wrong about you

You never steered me right, you never sleep at night,

But if you did you would have nightmares,

Hearts flash before your eyes, You had the best disguise,

As the snake that you were but we all rooted for it not to be true.

You betrayed us, so now you can go, take what’s left of you.

Someone told me

In a hush

That you were gonna do me wrong,

I didn’t pay it mind thought you were the good kind,

So now I think that I was wrong about you

You never steered me right, you never sleep at night,

But if you did you would have nightmares,

Hearts flash before your eyes, You had the best disguise,

As the snake that you are but we all prayed it wasn’t true,

You betrayed us, so you can go, and take what’s left of you

Cause there’s nothing of left of me.

Of me.

You never steered me, you’ll never sleep at night,

Cause if you did you would have nightmares,

Hearts flashed before your eyes, You had the best disguise,

As the snake that you are, hid the venom all along, from those who believed in you,

You betrayed us, so you can go, and take the nothing you’ve become to me,

With you.

Take what’s left of you.

Before I, do.
