When You Say Love

The stuff that were made of

In the holes of our souls

Is betraying and breakable

Not under control

And your cheap alcohol

Only makes your dreams

Less predictable

When you say love

And I wonder if you’ll forget in the morning

When you say love

Are we characters in your head, a beautiful story

The moment you wake up you’ll find

When you say love, it’s a lie

We’re creatures of habit

Just chasing our demons

Until we collapse in eachother’s arms

Your pillows don’t comfort

So you go to the pills,

You run to the hills cause you’ll never find home

When you say love

And I wonder if you’ll forget in the morning

When you say love

Are we characters in your head, a beautiful story

The moment you wake up you’ll find

When you say love, it’s a lie

The stuff that were made of

In the holes of our souls

Is betraying and breakable

Not under control

And your cheap alcohol

Only makes your dreams

Less predictable

When you say love, it’s a lie

When you say love, it’s a lie

When you say love

And I know that it’s just another word you won’t remember you said

When you say love

I’ll never be the character you’ve pinned down in your head

I’m not gonna wait for you to wake up anymore

Cause I’m just not living this dream anymore

When you say love it’s a lie

When you say love, it’s a lie
