Here (Duet)

Here we are again

Just sitting in the dark cause

I know that we’ve both got more

To say

Here we are again

Trying not to fall apart but

It’s easier for one

To walk away

And count the steps it’ll take to reach the door

I know, I know you’ve done it before,

So what still makes you stay?

(2): Here, I can be anything

And I know I won’t be rejected

I know I won’t be rejected.

(You know you’re always welcome here)

Here, I can be anything

And I know I won’t be rejected,

I know I won’t be rejected.

(1) But you still look so uncomfortable

I know your tongues in knots again

(2) Our loss for words is something fixable

I know we’ll speak again

Cause you’re the only one who’ll listen,

I mean it in the best way, I know how.

(2): Here, I can be anything

And I know I won’t be rejected

I know I won’t be rejected.

(You know you’re always welcome here)

Here, I can be anything

And I know I won’t be rejected,

I know I won’t be rejected.

(1) And it’ll get harder, and you’ll fight,

(2) And some nights I’ll stay awake,

Thinking of things I should’ve said to make it right

(1) And some nights, you’ll go to sleep

Angry with me, for being so stubborn

(2) But I know that you know that I’ll stay

As long as you want me to.

As long as you want me, too.

(2): Here, I can be anything

And I know I won’t be rejected

I know I won’t be rejected.

(You know you’re always welcome here)

Here, I can be anything

And I know I won’t be rejected,

I know I won’t be rejected.
