My Radio Star

Heroin killed the radio star

But only after she broke my, little heart

Couldn’t keep her in my music box

She was desperate for a life without love,

Woah.

With your rock n roll black n blues,

She was lightning war, and I was old news,

Watching from the pit with a smile on my face,

And the tear in my eye, she’ll never be replaced.

Heroin killed my radio star,

But only after she broke my, little heart

Couldn’t keep her in my music box

She was desperate for life out there.

Woah.

With your dyed red hair and your smoking patch

She was a firecracker, me a used match

I never would’ve caught her, had I run a million miles

Dragging this heavy heart through all her latest styles.

I never knew a girl so deep in thought,

And so cheap in words.

Layered like a rose and you can bet her thorns hurt.

The funeral was sad, and I cried myself,

Just seventeen they said, but she gave em hell.

Heroin killed my radio star

And in turn, broke my, little heart.

Now she sleeps in my music box

She was destined for everything more.

Woah. Woah.

With your rock n roll black n blues,

She was a lightning war, and I was just old news.

You were a lightning war, and I was just old news.
