Lock and Key

There’s a time and a place,

To say what’s on your mind,

And right now, I hope you’re ready to speak.

There’s a right and a wrong way,

To go every distance,

Only you would rather follow than lead.

You said you wanted to stay,

But it was a lie.

Now it’s getting late,

And I’m wasting your time,

I have the lock and you lost the key,

You think it’s all over now,

So say you’re sorry and leave.

There’s a turn and a twist,

And a bump in the road,

But I am gonna get where I’m going.

There’s a door and a way,

I can fight my way out,

I know you’re just a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

You said you wanted to stay,

But it was a lie.

Now it’s getting late,

And I’m wasting your time,

I have the lock and you lost the key,

You think it’s all over now,

So say you’re sorry and leave.

There’s a wish and a star,

Kind of feeling tonight,

Like a fish hooked on a baited line.

There’s a snake and a fool,

In front of the room now,

Dancing cause he venomously lied.

It was sad, it was lonely, the biggest mistake.

But you only had fun cause it was part of the chase…

You said you wanted to stay,

But it was a lie.

Now it’s getting late,

And I’m wasting your time,

I have the lock and you lost the key,

You think it’s all over now,

So say you’re sorry and leave.
