It’s only forgiveness,
That dangles from in her eyes,
There used to be day dreams,
But now nightmares take the skies,
The stars that watch the passion,
And let the moon drown out their cries,
Burn so bright until they fade, like cobwebs catch the time.
Breathe my life into me,
So I may feel inside,
A place that left me in the doorway,
With my broken hands tied,
You cry until they hear you,
Then insist you’re quite alright,
It’s the guiding reassurance,
That lets you sleep the night.
You pass your time in darkness,
For meaning is a myth,
Meeting in the corners,
Of shallow and still breaths.
