Put Out Your Hands

You make arrows in your basement

Little darts to penetrate my heart

They inject me with a poison

Like I’ve never known

There’d be no need to shoot me down

If you told me that you cared

If you showed that you were there

After everyone was gone

This, doesn’t, have to be the hard way

I would give you my heart,

Just put out your hands

Stop pretending it’s bad,

Just give yourself over,

I would give you my heart,

Just put out your hands.

You keep letters written

On the inside of your tongue

But how am I supposed to read them

When they’re nowhere in view

There’d be no need to keep it secret

If you told me that you cared

If you showed that you’d be there

After everyone was gone.

This, doesn’t, have to be the hard way

I would give you my heart,

Just put out your hands

Stop pretending it’s bad,

Just give yourself over,

I would give you my heart,

Just put out your hands.

Suddenly you hit one knee

And I’m the one fighting.

One finger to still my lips

And you say you wanna start trying.

This, doesn’t, have to be the hard way

I would give you my heart,

Just put out your hands

Stop pretending it’s bad,

Just give yourself over,

I would give you my heart,

Just put out your hands.

Just put out your hands.

Just put out your hands.

Wish

Oh, oh.

I’ve met somebody new,

I thought I’d let you know.

I think you’d really like him.

I know I do.

He’s not so different from you,

Makes me feel like I could trust him.

Makes me feel like he loves me,

Like I deserve him.

Do you ever wish you stayed?

To hold my again.

I used wish it everyday,

But I couldn’t keep you,

You didn’t want to be kept.

Do you ever wish you stayed?

I used to wish it, everyday.

I feel bad when we go to the park,

Cause I can’t tell him why I never really wanna be there.

I think he thinks it’s him.

I just can’t face where I used to be with you,

I just can’t face that with him.

Is it a little bit crazy to hope I miss him as much,

When he goes away?

Do you ever wish you stayed?

To hold my again.

I used wish it everyday,

But I couldn’t keep you,

You didn’t want to be kept.

Do you ever wish you stayed?

I used to wish it, everyday.

I thought I needed you to feel good inside.

I thought I needed you to like bad parts of me.

Maybe those parts still need you,

Maybe they just wanna know if you need me.

Do you ever wish you stayed?

To hold my again.

I used wish it everyday,

But I couldn’t keep you,

You didn’t want to be kept.

Do you ever wish you stayed?

I used to wish it, everyday.

Oh, oh.

I met somebody new.

Oh, oh.

I thought I’d let you know.

Oh, oh.

I think you’d really like him.

Oh, oh.

I know I do.

Take A Dive (Better)

If you ran back to where you started,

Would you recognize your own face.

The things you lacked were in still hiding,

When you fantasized about a better place.

Now you make games of rhymes,

Waste her time,

Cause you know, you’ll never be satisfied.

But maybe tonight, isn’t one to fight.

Maybe tonight, she doesn’t want to fight.

Take a dive,

Drown yourself,

You’re doing better, better

Than most, my friend.

Take a dive,

Let it go,

You’re doing better, better,

Than most, my friend.

If you ran back to where you started,

You’d me see me, even there trying get your attention.

I drift to the back of your head.

You never saw me, waving my arms, trying to get your attention.

Cause I know, you’ll never be satisfied.

But maybe tonight, isn’t one to fight.

Maybe tonight, I don’t want to fight.

Take a dive,

Drown yourself,

You’re doing better, better

Than most, my friend.

Take a dive,

Let it go,

You’re doing better, better,

Than most, my friend.

Horror Love

It’s a whole new kind of monster

Sitting in my thoughts of you

Cause I’m six feet deep in

My affections for you, my dear

It’s a whole new kind of monster

Coffined in these thoughts of you

Cause I’m tainted by you

These dreams of you, my dear.

These are, just simple curiosities,

My mind wanders at the rate of fingers,

Trickling down your spine.

Horror love, hold me closer

I’m scared, baby.

Horror love, I’ll be the damsel,

Your vampire queen.

Horror love, let’s end this happily.

It’s a whole new kind of monster

Stirring in these thoughts of you

Cause I’m just bleeding out to die

In your arms, my dear.

It’s a whole new kind of monster

Laying in my thoughts of you

Cause I’m lifted in

These dreams of you, my dear.

These are, just simple curiosities,

My mind wanders at the rate of fingers,

Trickling down your spine.

Horror love, hold me closer

I’m scared, baby.

Horror love, I’ll be the damsel,

Your vampire queen.

Horror love, let’s end this happily.

I’ll be your vampire queen,

You be the zombie prince charming

This horror love, it never dies,

It’s a whole, new, kind of monster.

Horror love, hold me closer

I’m scared, baby.

Horror love, I’ll be the damsel,

Your vampire queen.

Horror love, let’s end this happily.

These are, just simple curiosities,

My mind wanders at the rate of fingers,

Trickling down your spine.

Cutters

You walk in like a razor blade

Cut the wounds from your mouth

You’ve got me on the edge again

You know I’d lick the blade sooner than I’d live without

Your kind of danger is a strange one

But it’s to be anticipated

When you’re as strange as demonstrated.

He’s the tongue of a butcher

To cut me down to size

But I’ve got my own sizable blade

I swallow his knife, hiding under my sleeves.

Everything You Want

I’ve got this dream

It’s reoccurring

You talk to me

Without a sound.

These voices, whispers

Keep on coming

From everywhere

Except your mouth.

Don’t look, just yet,

I’m not quite done,

Being everything you want

Step up to the microphone

I can’t hear your troubles from in my ear

Don’t look, just yet,

I’m not quite ready,

Being everything you want.

Step up to the microphone,

I can’t hear your troubles from in my ears.

I’ve got this voice

But you can’t hear it

You count the ways

You change my mind

Your eyes, your hands

They keep on stirring,

The emotions

Behind our sighs.

Don’t look, just yet,

I’m not quite done,

Being everything you want

Step up to the microphone

I can’t hear your troubles from in my ear

Don’t look, just yet,

I’m not quite ready,

Being everything you want.

Step up to the microphone,

I can’t hear your troubles from in my ears.

Shh…

Shh…

I promised I would make this go away.

I would make them the truth,

But I forgot what you said that was.

I can’t keep track of what you said that was.

Don’t look, just yet,

I’m not quite done,

Being everything you want

Step up to the microphone

I can’t hear your troubles from in my ear

Don’t look, just yet,

I’m not quite ready,

Being everything you want.

Step up to the microphone,

I can’t hear your troubles from in my ears.

I’ve got this dream it’s reoccurring

You talk to me without a sound…

Diamond (In The Rough)

I sleep all day,

Worry at night.

The things you say,

Don’t feel all right.

Sometimes we’re perfect,

Sometimes we’re a hurricane.

These up’s and down’s are important.

It means we can’t go to waste.

Would you throw away a diamond?

Right now we’re in the rough, I’ll admit.

Would you throw away a diamond?

Why can’t we work through this?

I talk too much,

I know, I know.

But you talk too loud,

Steal my thoughts away.

We fight too much,

About the stupidest things,

But the make up makes

It worth it in the end.

Would you throw away a diamond?

Right now we’re in the rough, I’ll admit.

Would you throw away a diamond?

Why can’t we work through this?

Can’t you see the naked value?

Can’t you see the treasure we hold?

Would you throw away,

A little piece of shiny gold?

Would you throw away a diamond?

Right now we’re in the rough, I’ll admit.

Would you throw away a diamond?

Why can’t we work through this?

Repeat

This band aids soaked in salty water,

Cover the wound but it still cries out.

Where do you go when they find you crying?

What do you need when you’re really dying?

She’s been driving for a million years,

Tryna get to furthest place from here.

Shove her failures under her nose,

But I’ve seen it already,

Heard this before.

Don’t take it so personally,

I didn’t have you in mind,

When I was playing repeat.

Now the scars they faded away

So I don’t get to keep even that fucking memory

Where do you run when they see you crying?

What do you need when you’re finally dying?

She’s been driving for a billion years,

Tryna get to furthest place from here.

Shove her failures under her nose,

But I’ve seen it already,

Heard this before.

Don’t take it so personally,

I didn’t have you in mind,

When I was playing repeat.

She swears she’s passed this road some time ago,

Been idling in circles.

She hates it when you see her cry.

She hates it cause she know she’s dying inside.

Shove her failures under her nose,

But I’ve seen it already,

Heard this before.

Don’t take it so personally,

I didn’t have you in mind,

When I was playing repeat.

You Got Me

I’m walking down the hall,

I saw the paintings changed expressions

And the grass must take more effort

Cause they say it’s always greener where you water it.

I’m headed to a place where I can’t be sure of anything,

I’m headed to a place called nothing short of amazing,

I’m headed to a place, headed to a place.

The room is spinning but I haven’t been drinking.

Is this your  way of keeping girls from thinking?

One more time, can you pass that by me?

I’d follow you anywhere now, and it’s bad when it’s get’s like that.

You know you got me where you want me.

I saw the staircase switch directions

And the carpet must take more effort

Cause it’s burning my every step.

Obvious.

Everything will fade away.

You can be the only light you need.

I’ll be the sights you see.

And everything you ever dreamed,

I can make it happen,

Maybe, well I can try.

While I was thinking it was obvious,

I guess you never noticed that I love you,

I love you.

While I was thinking it was obvious,

I never made it clear that this is honest,

I love you, I promise.

I look into your eyes and I see sadness.

I’m not surprised but not encouraged.

Cause I’m killing myself just to see you smile.

I hold your hand, kiss your ears.

I’ll drown out the sounds you don’t want to hear.

What can I do to be good enough?

To save you.

While I was thinking it was obvious,

I guess you never noticed that I love you,

I love you.

While I was thinking it was obvious,

I never made it clear that this is honest,

I love you, I promise.

You light up,

You kiss me.

That was all I ever wanted

Since the day I came alive.

While I was thinking it was obvious,

I guess you never noticed that I love you,

I love you.

While I was thinking it was obvious,

I never made it clear that this is honest,

I love you, I promise.

Call Me

Everyday stories never get told

Everyday habits so quickly getting old

I’m too tired to tie myself down

If you wanted me that bad maybe you should’ve hung around

Did I scare you when I said I cared?

Maybe I should’ve lied,

Cause this pillow just won’t hold me

Like you did.

So next time you say call me

Maybe you should answer the phone

Cause now my head is ringing and,

I’m still here all alone.

So next time you say call me

You should know that I just won’t

How’s this for I’ll leave a message

Don’t call me back, just don’t.

It’s been two weeks and I’ve written seven letters

Won’t send em, don’t you worry, I’ve learned better.

I’m too tired to wait myself down,

You said you wanted me that bad, then didn’t stick around.

Did I scare you when I said that I cared?

Maybe I should’ve lied.

Cause these tissues just don’t pull me through

Like you did when I cried.

So next time you say call me

Maybe you should answer the phone

Cause now my head is ringing and,

I’m still here all alone.

So next time you say call me

You should know that I just won’t

How’s this for I’ll leave a message

Don’t call me back, just don’t.

Maybe I’d like the sound of voice,

Fill my ears, guide my heart,

Lack of trust, lead to lack of noise,

I’m something you just can’t confront.

But you shouldn’t have said that.

If you didn’t mean that.

Did I scare you, when I said I cared?

Should I have lied?

Cause I can’t talk to me.

Like you did.

So next time you say call me

Maybe you should answer the phone

Cause now my head is ringing and,

I’m still here all alone.

So next time you say call me

You should know that I just won’t

How’s this for I’ll leave a message

Don’t call me back, just don’t.

Undertaker

These are the eyes to an empty soul

My lips are those of a liar.

I didn’t mean to curse what I came from

But I guess I can’t just forget.

These are the marks of a danger

I’m standing too close to the edge

Too scared to fall, too scared to turn away

Could you push me just one more step?

I’m trapped under the ice

Of being what you wanna see

My hands have just been tied

By the fate I brought for me

Your quick sand grabbed my ankles

But when I looked to you for help

I saw you were the undertaker,

With my first class ticket to hell.

If you only knew what I talk about

When I’m alone at night

Would you be surprised?

This tongue is heavy lately.

These are the prayers of she without one

Am I dead yet?

I’m trapped under the ice

Of being what you wanna see

My hands have just been tied

By the fate I brought for me

Your quick sand grabbed my ankles

But when I looked to you for help

I saw you were the undertaker,

With my first class ticket to hell.

And it’s just all gray,

I watch it fade, away.

I almost tried,

Til I thought it would be safer to runaway.

I’m trapped under the ice

Of being what you wanna see

My hands have just been tied

By the fate I brought for me

Your quick sand grabbed my ankles

But when I looked to you for help

I saw you were the undertaker,

With my first class ticket to hell.
