And now it’s out. And I can go back to doing things like breathing, and thinking about things other than you. Reality is crazy sometimes I think, especially when it hits you hard. I don’t appreciate reality with you. I hardly notice it when we talk, honestly. I forget myself, and I forget who I pretend to be. You make it easy. Not to breathe, of course. But to forget. Sometimes we could all use a little less oxygen. I’m going to write a song called that. I hope you’ll like it. I hope it makes you smile.

Meet The Sun
On the back of a butterfly
You sat and watched the world go by
You watched the little ghosts play and seek
And then you saw when the two souls met the sun.
The cheek on a summer breeze
You lapped the river, cooled my knees,
Reminded of some old country song.
And you showed me how the two souls met the sun.
You fell but I will
Catch you
You cry but I will
Make you laugh
I promise I will
Be there
Until our souls one day
Meet the sun.
Now the grass is just your pillow
Watch the sky lay next to me.
You be the stars, and I’ll be the dark,
One day we’ll watch the two souls meet the sun.
You fell but I will
Catch you
You cry but I will
Make you laugh
I promise I will
Be there
Until our souls one day
Meet the sun.
You be the stars, and I’ll be the dark,
Until our souls one day meet the sun.

You’re Gone
I break the mirrors
Not to see me cry
I scream at the walls
Like they’re the reason why
I know it’s all my fault
But I can’t come to terms
You left because of me
And now that you’re gone
I still stand in your shadow,
I still talk to your memory,
I’ll never forget the way we danced.
(But you’re gone)
I still stand in your shadow,
I still sing to your melody,
I’ll never forget the way it was.
(But you’re gone)
I make up stories
To escape the truth
I’m just a shell of a girl
Scared, without you
Maybe there’ll be tomorrow
Maybe there wont
To find me a voice from somewhere
But now that you’re gone
I still stand in your shadow,
I still talk to your memory,
I’ll never forget the way we danced.
(But you’re gone)
I still stand in your shadow,
I still sing to your melody,
I’ll never forget the way it was.
(But you’re gone)
I’ll never forgive
Myself for trusting you
I’ll never forgive
Myself for losing you
I’ll never forgive
Myself for trusting you
I’ll never forgive
Myself for losing you
I’ll never forgive
Myself for missing you
But now that you’re gone.
It’s like there’s new air,
Without your scent,
Something becoming clear,
Maybe I’m just insane,
From deprivation,
Maybe I’m onto something,
Like you were never worth this.
I can only see this.
After you’re gone.
Go Ahead, Go
I don’t wanna be bitter
I don’t wanna be angry
But if you’re planning to go then
Please just leave me
I don’t need any more heartache
I don’t need more time wasted
I don’t wanna be bitter
I don’t wanna be lonely
They said you were on your way
They said you were packing up
But I’m the last to know
That you’re leaving me all alone
How did you think I would take it
Did you think I would feel
When you called three hundred miles down the road
They said you were on your way
I’m the last to hear it
I’m saying go ahead, go.
Please don’t make excuses
Don’t lead me on
Please don’t tell me
This is temporary
Cause you made it more.
Please don’t make excuses
I won’t make you stay
If you lost something with me
Go find it on your way
They said you were on your way
They said you were packing up
But I’m the last to know
That you’re leaving me all alone
How did you think I would take it
Did you think I would feel
When you called three hundred miles down the road
They said you were on your way
I’m the last to hear it
I’m saying go ahead, go.
Don’t call me. Don’t call me.
Not three hundred miles, not three thousand miles.
Don’t sorry. Don’t be sorry.
I don’t wanna see your face, ever, not ever, again.
They said you were on your way
They said you were packing up
But I’m the last to know
That you’re leaving me all alone
How did you think I would take it
Did you think I would feel
When you called three hundred miles down the road
They said you were on your way
I’m the last to hear it
I’m saying go ahead, go.
Oh, baby, why ya waiting?
Go ahead, go.
In The Middle
Is that really what you think of my tears?
You don’t see weakness you see beauty?
C’mon am I supposed to believe you?
Are you supposed to believe me?
Why not start it in the middle,
Cause here you can help things.
The end’s gonna be a surprise.
I’ve been singing to myself,
And I dedcided I can’t help things,
So I’m gonna sit here and cry.
My Kind
Someone took your old warped matches,
Turned them into fires.
Is that why you sit in the dark,
Cause you can’t quite face the light.
What’s her name the one that broke you,
He kisses me on the cheek.
I wonder if it’s my name,
That he, refuses to speak.
Love will clothe you, love will hurt you,
Love may make you blind.
Love will steal you, love will you tease you,
Love will leave you behind.
Love will you break you, love may make you cry.
Love will love you, love, you’re just my kind.
I’ll be just another girl,
And you be just another boy,
To dream about with my eyes wide open,
When it get’s too hard, I’ll close em tight.
Don’t you think you’re easily forgotten,
Cause my heart never forgets.
The hands it lays itself in,
When mine keep dropping it.
Love will clothe you, love will hurt you,
Love may make you blind.
Love will steal you, love will you tease you,
Love will leave you behind.
Love will you break you, love may make you cry.
Love will love you, love, you’re just my kind.
I forget the rest of the words, but I had so much to say.
My love will clothe you, my love will hurt you,
My love may make you blind.
My love will steal you, my love will you tease you,
My love will leave you behind.
My love will you break you, my love may make you cry.
My love will love you, my love you’re just my kind.

The Last Day (Best Day)
I wanna wake up to my funeral,
We’ll all start dancing, break out the champagne,
Welcome to my funeral,
The last day, will be the best day.
Good morning, love,
So that’s where they’ve been keeping the sun,
Around here.
Good morning, mister death,
Have you met mister it’s not quite my time yet.
I wanna wake up to my funeral,
Let’s start dancing, break out the champagne,
Welcome to my funeral,
The last day, will be the best day.
Every good looking male in black,
Please strip down to your boxers,
No need to be more revealing than that,
My mother’s here, after all.
There’s no mourning, so please
Get back to your morning,
Don’t shed a tear, don’t miss me,
I’m always here.
I wanna wake up to my funeral,
Let’s start dancing, break out the champagne,
Welcome to my funeral,
The last day, will be the best day.
Good morning, love.
So that’s where they’ve been keeping the sun,
Oh…
I wanna wake up, i wanna wake up.
Good morning, love.
I wanna wake up to my funeral,
Let’s start dancing, break out the champagne,
Welcome to my funeral,
The last day, will be the best day.

Little People
Imagine if your heart was bigger than your head?
Imagine in your hand ever tried to fit in mine?
Imagine we could both fit comfortably in my bed?
I’m sure you’ve imagined that from time to time.
Imagine if your heart was bigger than your head?
Imagine the size of your pride after a night of apologies?
Imagine you eating all the words you ever said.
Imagine this clown car romance let either of us breathe.
Cause we’re all just little people,
In an ocean,
When you try to make me small,
You look smaller than think you are,
Cause we’re all just little people,
In a maze of mass emotion,
And you try to make me smaller,
Than even I think I am.
Imagine your feet fit in my shoes?
Imagine the size of the stars up close?
Imagine the planets learned to sing the blues.
Imagine you never sat so close.
Imagine your feet fit in my shoes?
Imagine size didn’t matter to anybody anymore
Imagine me in your palm, oh the size of your thumb.
Imagine I was big enough to scale your four walls.
Cause we’re all just little people,
In an ocean,
When you try to make me small,
You look smaller than think you are,
Cause we’re all just little people,
In a maze of mass emotion,
And you try to make me smaller,
Than even I think I am.
Oh, the size of your…thumb.

Not What We’re Used To
I wouldn’t touch that red button,
If I were you,
Though it could be the panic, that this room could use,
Cause we’re all half dead,
Eyes glazed over, with our empty heads,
Cause it’s all almost over.
I’m a quick one liner, with such bad habits,
Gonna be an all nighter for you.
Can I keep you from your nightmares,
It’s okay if you stare,
Cause I know I’m not what youre used to.
Don’t look the grey in the face,
It could probably kill,
Though it could be that kinda change that could spin the whole room,
Cause we’re all half dead,
Eyes glazed over, with our heads,
Is it all almost over, yet.
I’m a quick one liner, with such bad habits,
Gonna be an all nighter for you.
Can I keep you from your nightmares,
It’s okay if you stare,
Cause I know I’m not what youre used to.
If the door was unlocked, would you run with me?
If the option arrived, and provided time,
Would you say it’s fate, time to go be wild, now.
Let them look you up and down,
Change isn’t always subtle.
I’m a quick one liner, with such bad habits,
Gonna be an all nighter for you.
Can I keep you from your nightmares,
It’s okay if you stare,
Cause I know I’m not what youre used to.
Let’s Be Heroes (Into My Comic Book)
I’ve got the attitude and get up to
Pull you into my comic book,
Let’s rewrite the story back to front.
I can be your Lois Lane, unless you prefer me,
To dress up in a role more like myself.
Let’s be the heroes, if only of our dreams,
If I be the villain, would you promise to chase me?
Around our new society, I can save the town,
When you try to burn it down,
Let’s be the heroes.
I’ve got the experience and background to
Pull you into this comic book
Let’s heat up the story back to front,
I can be your Spider Girl, unless you prefer me,
Hey wait, that’s a role more like myself.
Let’s be the heroes, if only of our dreams,
If I be the villain, would you promise to chase me?
Around our new society, I can save the town,
When you try to burn it down,
Let’s be the heroes.
Would you promise to chase me?
Around Gotham City, all around metropolis,
I’ll cause the havoc so you bring the damage control,
You be the bad guy and i’ll bring the masks, they’ll never know,
We’ll save the day, take the pictures, get a key,
Hey wait, is that a role unlike ourselves?
Let’s be the heroes, if only of our dreams,
If I be the villain, would you promise to chase me?
Around our new society, I can save the town,
When you try to burn it down,
Let’s be the heroes.
Give
You sing to the snakes in my sleep.
You keep me weak on my feet,
And the world you’ve built us,
Is stronger that I could’ve dreamed.
I dance beneath your sky,
Cause sun or stars, rain or shine,
I wanna be your dream,
The one you wanna replay every night.
Give it to me, again.
Give me your poison kiss,
Your every wish,
Your forgivable sins,
Your expectation list,
Your unmistakable evilness,
Whoever said ignorance is bliss,
Has never been touched by a love like this.
Give it to me, again.
You make the blood pool in my cheeks,
You keep me hot and cool and oh so happy.
And the world we live in here,
Is everything I could never find but always seek.
And everything you say keeps me wide awake,
Well into the night, in this state I stay,
I warn myself not to go too far,
But I love the one I’m with, it’s not hard to say.
Give it to me, again.
Give me your poison kiss,
Your every wish,
Your forgivable sins,
Your expectation list,
Your unmistakable evilness,
Whoever said ignorance is bliss,
Has never been touched by a love like this.
Give it to me, again.
And if one day, you ever go,
I’ll be the worse for this,
I’ll know what I’ll miss,
But I wanna say before I forget,
I love you.
Give it to me, again.
Give me your poison kiss,
Your every wish,
Your forgivable sins,
Your expectation list,
Your unmistakable evilness,
Whoever said ignorance is bliss,
Has never been touched by a love like this.
Give it to me, again.

Boys Like You
Come on and touch me,
Really feel me,
Hear me, taste me, breathe me in,
Are you scared yet?
Are you afraid?
Cause girls like me make meals
Out of boys like you.
